Extern-A-Therm Recuperators are compact tubular air-to-air heat exchangers designed to recover the waste heat in industrial exhaust gases. The recovered heat is used to preheat the combustion air for the system’s burners, thereby increasing the thermal efficiency. To ensure that all the wasted heat is drawn across the recuperator tubes, the recuperator is typically mated with an Eclipse eductor. The design of the Extern-A-Therm, housing and eductor ensure ease of installation and efficient use of existing pipe work. The housings are internally insulated; there is no need for additional external insulation.
