The Eclipse Veri-Flame is an electronic control used on gas fired heating equipment that might be used in a variety of manufacturing processes. Eclipse has found that some Veri-Flames may allow continued gas flow even in the absence of flame. While only a few occurrences have been reported, this situation could pose a significant hazard to personnel and equipment.

It is imperative that owners of equipment using the Eclipse Veri-Flame take the following actions:

1. Read the safety advisory.
2. Identify affected units (date code 9401-0746).
3. Test affected units per safety notice instructions.
4. Register all veri-Flame units in the affected date range.

Eclipse received agency approval for a new version of the Veri-Flame that addresses this issue and is repairing and/or replacing units in the affected date range per the Veri-Flame Replacement & Repair Policy revised 17July 2008.
