Three of the Board members are family members and shareholders while the balance of the Board is made up of members from the outside of the organization. Although rare, having a Board of Directors where non-shareholders outnumber the shareholders is a progressive and unique approach to the governance of a family business and provides balance and focus. Outside Board members are selected based on their considerable expertise from a variety of business disciplines and impart wisdom, insight, and pragmatism.
The Board of Directors meets on a quarterly basis to review strategic initiatives, performance to financial goals, and fulfill governance activities.
